Strengthen Fatherhood and Families: Barack Obama has re-introduced the Responsible Fatherhood and Healthy Families Act to remove some of the government penalties on married families, crack down on men avoiding child support payments, ensure that support payments go to families instead of state bureaucracies, fund support services for fathers and their families, and support domestic violence prevention efforts. I am a licensed mortgage broker and have been since 1980. My father and Mother have been in the business all of their adult lives, and we started a Mortgage Company, Sonoran Mortgage in the 1990's. A guy calls in and mentioned that the sub prime market was a Clinton Administration idea and you talked over him and dismissed him saying the congress was Republican. What does that have to do with policy? Fannie and Freddy are quasi-governmental agencies. The "Policy" was not law, did not need government funding. Bill Clinton pushed getting programs for low income Americans with Fannie Mae not needing Congress or any Republican endorsement. This economic mess started with Bill Clinton. The loan programs developed during that period had very few checks and balances. Leaving them open for loan fraud. After 9-11 when the economy was hurting the loans starting taking their toll as they are today.

You had a 4 hour Obama Fest without allowing any truth to be spoken about the other candidate. You said it, all your life; you have been on the air. You know how to pick apart a caller and twist the conversation to what they do not know rather than the facts that they do. Not allowing any opposing opinion on the air.

Hoover raised taxes in an economic slump and caused the Great Depression. Bush lowered taxes and is ahead of his projected revenue collection levels in fact the Bush tax program has stimulated growth and collected more revenue than ever in the past 20 years, including the booming 90's during the Clinton years,when the economy was cooking from the tech revolution.

I am going to write to the regulatory agency that controls broadcasting & file a formal complaint about the fair time laws. When a host is campaigning for his candidate,claiming that callers speak the opposing view isn't going to cut it for fair time, since you do not let them get the point out. Being a business owner I can tell you that taxing earners w/ an income over $250,000 thousand dollars annually will affect all tax payers. Anyone who pays for goods and services from business or is employed from a business will feel the sting of Obama's taxes. That is everyone!

Being a conservative, is all about money, not about morals. The government can not regulate my morality. I will feel and act as I want. But the government can mess up my parent's retirement. They can put us out of business. I can see that you have never been responsible for anyone else's income. You are not a rain maker. You are a "Poor Dad" model who does not understand wealth building. Getting a good paycheck, practicing saving and investing is well and good.

Being someone who works hard and from nothing but hard work builds a company, creates jobs, pays benefits, and controls the over head to have a profit margin worth the work, is something completely different. I am in touch with the market because it is how I earn a living. I have risk and I have responsibility. I do not get a paycheck unless I make it happen.

I wish employed fat cats like yourself could feel what it is like to worry about the people who depend on you for their pay check. I wish you could know what it is like to have government policy effect your life. Obama is running on a policy that will destroy my business, cause unemployment, and make my parents have a tight fixed income.

Right now we are in a slow down, which is almost over. Obama will cripple this nation's economy for many years. This doesn't even take into account how many Americans will die when he pulls out of a war we are winning and the terrorists come back here and make us have to live in fear, like the Israelis.

You should stick to less harmful subjects like sex.

FANNIE MAE EASES CREDIT TO AID MORTGAGE LENDING

In a move that could help increase home ownership rates among minorities and low-income consumers, the Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders.
The action, which will begin as a pilot program involving 24 banks in 15 markets -- including the New York metropolitan region -- will encourage those banks to extend home mortgages to individuals whose credit is generally not good enough to qualify for conventional loans. Fannie Mae officials say they hope to make it a nationwide program by next spring.
Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people and felt pressure from stock holders to maintain its phenomenal growth in profits.

In addition, banks, thrift institutions and mortgage companies have been pressing Fannie Mae to help them make more loans to so-called subprime borrowers. These borrowers whose incomes, credit ratings and savings are not good enough to qualify for conventional loans, can only get loans from finance companies that charge much higher interest rates -- anywhere from three to four percentage points higher than conventional loans.

''Fannie Mae has expanded home ownership for millions of families in the 1990's by reducing down payment requirements,'' said Franklin D. Raines, Fannie Mae's chairman and chief executive officer.
In moving, even tentatively, into this new area of lending, Fannie Mae is taking on significantly more risk, which may not pose any difficulties during flush economic times. But the government-subsidized corporation may run into trouble in an economic downturn, prompting a government rescue similar to that of the savings and loan industry in the 1980's.
''From the perspective of many people, including me, this is another thrift industry growing up around us,'' said Peter Wallison a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. ''If they fail, the government will have to step up and bail them out the way it stepped up and bailed out the thrift industry.''

Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, does not lend money directly to consumers. Instead, it purchases loans that banks make on what is called the secondary market. By expanding the type of loans that it will buy, Fannie Mae is hoping to spur banks to make more loans to people with less-than-stellar credit ratings.
